West Chester Public Library

The West Chester Public Library has been closed, along with all the other Chester County libraries, since March 15, and will remain closed through April 13, 2020 (at the earliest).  During this time, there are numerous resources available to Township residents:

  • While the library is closed we’re asking everyone to keep all their library materials at home – we are not able to empty the book drop.
  • Staff at Chester County Library are updating all due dates so that fines do not accrue on checked out items.
  • Digital materials are available 24/7 with a CCLS library card:
    • Ebooks and e-audiobooks via Overdrive and the Libby app – accessible under the ematerials tab from www.ccls.org
    • E-Magazines (about 60+ titles) are available via Fllipster – also accessible under the ematerials tab, www.ccls.org
    • BookFLix – a video/animated read-along service for children – accessible via PowerLibrary (click on Databases tab from www.ccls.org, then click on PowerLibrary link)
  • Anyone needing a library card should please email wcpl@ccls.org and staff will get them set up.
  • WCPL staff have created a number of virtual story times available on our Youtube channel – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQsZKefw3bqMkvrwA1zab-g/videos
  • The Chester County Library has a blog set up with information and links to varies resources: https://stayconnectedwithchescolibraries.wordpress.com/
  • We are updating our Facebook page with current information/updates as well as links to sites providing ideas to make stay-at-home life easier.
